Well-travelled Capitalist gelding King of Roseau is a quiet achiever for the Peter Snowden stable and has now won races in three states in the past 12 months capturing the $250,000 Group III ATC Liverpool City Cup (1300m) at Randwick on Saturday.

First up from a short break following a lucrative win in the $2million Magic Millions Cup (1400m) in early January, King of Roseau produced a withering finish for Tom Sherry, hitting the line hard late to win by a head.
"We saw what he did down in Melbourne in the Aurie's Star and in the Magic Millions. He has been an absolute revelation his last couple of preparations," trainer stable representative Aaron Lau.
"When he's on song, he's got a lethal turn of foot.
"We'll have a good think (about where to next) . The races only get tougher from here and he's probably a few rungs behind those topliners, but if we set him for the right races, he will certainly make his presence felt."

King of Roseau was a $95,000 Magic Millions purchase from Ashleigh Thoroughbreds and has now won six races from 23 starts and more than $2.1million in prizemoney.
King of Roseau is the second and final foal of Dominica, a Choisir daughter of Group I winner Danni Martine. His breeder Senga Bissett, who bred his mother and his grand-mother has retained a small share.
She can certainly produce a good Capitalist having also bred and sold his first Group I winner Captivant!
King of Roseau is the highest stakes earner among 29 stakes-winners for Newgate Farm’s Golden Slipper winning sire Capitalist.
