Goodwood Group Two Winner for Sir Prancelaot

Cornerstone Stud's Sir Prancelaot (IRE) was making news overnight at Goodwood where his classy sprinting son Sir Dancealot won the Group II Lennox Stakes for the second year in a row.

Sir PrancealotThe David Elsworth trained gelding surged to the line to win the seven furlong sprint by a length taking his overall record to nine wins and five placings from 31 starts.

"He won this race last year and then went on to win the Hungerford Stakes (G2). He will probably go back to Newbury for the Hungerford Stakes again now," said David Elsworth.

Sir Dancealot is the best of two winners from Danehill Dancer mare Majesty's Dance, a half-sister to Group III winner Dancal.

Sir Dancealot is one of seven stakes-winners for Sir Prancealot, who stands at Cornerstone Stud this spring at a fee of $14,300 and will have his first Australian yearlings at sales in 2020.
