Fifth Winner for Olympic Glory

Mark Smith - Saturday July 27

Triple Crown Syndications and the Snowden stable are having a day out at Gosford claiming both the two-year-old races with Olympic Glory (IRE) filly Oribella and the I Am Invincible gelding Invincible Dash.

After featuring prominently in stewards reports when placed at her first two starts at Wyong and Scone, Oribella was overdue for some luck.

Travis Wolfgram elected to take the Olympic Glory (IRE) filly back in the early stages after looking likely to be caught wide from an outside barrier.

Roused up 400 metres out she hit the lead halfway down the straight before holding the fast-finishing Star Witness gelding by a half-head.

An $85,000 purchase by Triple Crown Syndications out of the Arrowfield draft at the 2018 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, Oribella (pictured as a yearling ) is a half-sister to the Inglis 2yo Classic (RL) winner Lady Jivago (Beneteau) out of the winning Hussonet (USA) mare Hussterics who hails from the family of Snippets and Not A Single Doubt.

She becomes the fifth winner from the first Australian-conceived crop of Olympic Glory (IRE) a 4-time Group 1 winning son of Choisir, who stood at Arrowfield in 2015 and 2016. After staying in the northern hemisphere in 2017, Olympic Glory returned to Arrowfield Stud last year but struggled for support, covering 45 mares and he is not on the roster in 2019.
