Another Foxwedge Juvenile Salutes

New to Victoria this spring, Foxwedge has had 18 winners since the start of the month adding another juvenile winner to the tally at Pakenham on Tuesday with an easy victory for the Greg Eurell trained Hezafox.

FoxwedgeStepped up to 1400 metres at his third starter and second run back from a spell, Hezaten was sent out favourite and powered home from back in the field to win by half a neck beating older rivals.

Hezafox was passed in as a yearling and retained to race by a syndicate that includes his breeder.

The seventh two year-old winner this season for Foxwedge, Hezafox is from Shezaten, a half-sister to Group II winner Bird of Fire by Handsome Ransom.

A proven Group I producing son of champion sire Fastnet Rock, Foxwedge stands at Woodside Park this spring at a fee of $16,500.
