Medaglia D’Oro (USA) has provided some smart two year-old winners this season for Godolphin including Group II winning filly Tenley, who is closely related to this winner at Bendigo on Friday.

Medaglia D'OroUnplaced at her first start at Echuca, the James Cummings trained filly Frazil made amends at the second time of asking, powering clear to win the 1400 metre maiden by two and three-quarter lengths.

Frazil is the second winner from Sastruga, an Elusive Quality (USA) half-sister to the dam of this season’s star filly Tenley, winner of the Group II ATC Reisling Stakes.

Sastruga is a grand-daughter of Group I winner Skating from the family of Golden Slipper winner Vancouver. She was sold by Godolphin at the 2018 Magic Millions Broodmare Sale for $220,000 and her last foal for Godolphin, a filly by Exceed and Excel called Glaciers has been entered for the Blue Diamond.

Godolphin have entered 13 youngsters by Medaglia D’Oro for the 2020 Blue Diamond Stakes including youngsters from Blue Diamond winners Earthquake and Miracles of Life.
