Debut Winner for All Too Hard

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday August 22
Black Caviar's half-brother All Too Hard is rapidly making a name for himself as a sire with no help from his famous sibling and added an impressive debut winner to his tally at Pakenham on Tuesday.

A three year-old colt prepared by Robert Smerdon, Superhard was well fancied to win and kept his supporters happy when scoring a dominant win in the 1000 metre maiden.

Superhard as a yearlingA touch slow from the gates for Ryan Maloney, Superhard was last in the early stages, but worked into the race in impressive fashion after turning for home to power clear and win by more than two lengths under a hold.

Connections will be thinking spring after the win given Superhard is among entries for the Group I MRC Caulfield Guineas on October 14.

A $130,000 Inglis Easter purchase for Champion Thoroughbreds from the Kitchwin Hills draft, Superhard is a half-brother to Group II winner Twilight Royale and stakes-placed Mio Roiale.

He is the seventh winner from good producing Royal Academy (USA) mare Royal Season.

Superhard is the 15th first crop winner for All Too Hard, who has powered into the new season with four winners since August 1.

All Too Hard stands at a fee of $44,000 this spring.
