"Delago Deluxe has a beautiful physique and carries the real stamp of Encosta de Lago who we all know was a superior athlete," said Lucas Bloodstock's Ben Lucas.

"His race record was very impressive, winning on seven occasions out of 13 races and was a Group 1 winning 2YO and 3YO.

"He has already sired 27 winners this season alone and every week there is a consistent amount of winners and placegetters.

"He's a horse that can produce good types that will run on from two to three-years-old."

Delago Deluxe's pedigree is well-known to Australian breeders, with his grand dam being the wonderful mare Staging, who is the six-time Group winning dam of Tickets, Duporth and Excites, who have all gone to sire Group winners.

"He's by a proven sire of sires and the fact he is now standing at Lucas Bloodstock at an introductory offer of $4,400 with a multiple mare discount, he is really great value for money."

Bred by Gerry Harvey's Baramul Stud, Delago Deluxe was sold to South African interests as a $550,000 yearling at the 2010 Magic Millions sales.

He stormed onto the scene in South Africa, winning his first four starts including his first Group 1 at start No.4 in the Group 1 Medallion.

At aged three, he won the Group 1 Golden Horse Casino Sprint (1200m) which is regarded as being equivalent to Australia's Newmarket Handicap.

At stud, some of his recent successes include the Stakes-placed Casa de Lago, Warracknabeal Cup winner Revlis, lightly raced runaway Ascot winner Velago, the talented three-year-olds Diver, Dram Of Delago and Total Excess and the exciting two-year-olds Miss Geneva, Hankstar and Sukwhinder.
