One to Watch – Newcastle

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday May 28
Gelding might be the making of this talented youngster by I Am Invincible, who became the 18th juvenile winner for his sire this season when racing to a dominant win at Newcastle on Tuesday.

Enforcement as a yearlingA $360,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Yarraman Park draft for China Horse Club / Newgate Farm / WinStar Farm, Enforcement disappointed when well fancied in his first two starts in metropolitan company firstly in December last year and then again in March.

Gelded after those moderate efforts, Enforcement showed his true colours when leading all the way in the 900 metre open maiden to win by more than three lengths.

It would have been a tough decision to geld Enforcement, given he comes with big pedigree!

He is the first winner for stakes-winning Snitzel mare Express Power, a half-sister to the dam of stakes-winners Winner’s Way, That’s a Good Idea and Kneeling as well as the dam of Group I winner Ace High. Further back it’s the family of legendary sire Danehill.

Yarraman ark sold a full sister to Enforcement at Inglis Easter this year to Hermitage Thoroughbreds for $360,000 and Express Power has a weanling filly to follow by I Am Invincible and is in foal to his Group I winning son Hellbent.

Enforcement is another talented juvenile for I Am Invincible, who is leading the Australian 2YO Sires List with progeny earnings in excess of $3million and eight 2YO stakes-winners.
