Aussie G3 Winner South Africa

The Group III Sycamore Sprint at Turffontein in South Africa on Saturday was won by promising Charge Forward mare San Fermin.

Another Arrowfield bred SW, San Fermin as a yearlingTrained by Mike Azzie, San Fermin scored a long neck win in the 1160 metre sprint taking her overall record to five wins from 13 starts.

A $100,000 Magic Millions purchase for her trainer from the Arrowfield draft, San Fermin is the best of four winners from from unraced Redoute's Choice mare Choice Blend, a half-sister to triple Group I winner Bentley Biscuit.

Choice Blend died in 2018 and her last foal is a yearling colt by Real Impact (Jpn).

San Fermin is the 18th stakes-winner for Charge Forward, who stands at Murrulla Stud.
