Second Stakes-Winner for Eurozone

Tara Madgwick - Sunday March 31
Zoustar isn't the only son of Northern Meteor making his mark this season with his Group I placed son Eurozone posting his second stakes-winner at Bendigo on Saturday when undefeated filly Mystery Love won the Listed $150,000 Bendigo Guineas.

EurozoneTrained by Mick Price, she enjoyed a good run from barrier one and was strong to the line to win the 1400 metre contest by half a length taking her record to three wins from as many starts with prizemoney topping $130,000.

It's been a swift rise for Mystery Love, who won a maiden in Benalla in February before upping the ante to win at Sandown earlier this month and handled the rise to stakes company at just her third start in her first campaign.

"I was walking on egg shells for the past week as I've been thinking 'has she had enough' and if she had a wide draw, I don't think we would have run," trainer Mick Price said.

"But she drew in and got a great ride from Michael Walker.

"She's tough, she's sound and I thought she was gone a furlong out but she's tough."

Purchased for $14,000 at the Inglis Great Southern Weanling Sale by Rushton Park, Mystery Love was re-offered by them at Inglis Premier where she made $75,000 to the bid of Champion Thoroughbreds.

She is the first winner for Free Thinking, a half-sister to the dam of Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Houtzen from the family of Group I winner Sun Classique.

Mystery Love is the second stakes-winner for Eurozone joining Krone.
