I Am Invincible Chasing the Stakes-Winners Record

Tara Madgwick - Sunday March 3
Lightly raced I Am Invincible mare She's So High won the Group III SAJC Proud Miss Stakes in May last year and picked up where she left off at her first run back from a lengthy spell when winning the Listed VRC ATA Bob Hosted Handicap at Flemington on Saturday.

She's So High - image Grant CourtneyRidden by Damian Oliver, the Mick Price trained four year-old won the 1000 metre dash by a length taking her overall record to four wins from 10 starts with prizemoney topping $429,000.

"She was never going to be a summer mare and she will be off to Sydney now," Price said.

"She might be a nice horse to run in The Galaxy over 1100 metres if we kept her fresh.

"She's not a Group One mare at the moment, so you are always trying to improve them.

"If I can keep her fresh I think it would a beautiful race for her if the track is chopping out a bit for her."

The Galaxy is at Rosehill in three weeks and Oliver also believes She's So High could make her presence felt should she head that way.

"I wouldn't put that beyond her, for sure," he said.

"It was a comfortable win today. She has come back well and it was a nice race for her."

A $120,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Amarina Farm draft for Blueblood Thoroughbreds, She's So High was bred by Kambula Stud and was originally sold by them at the Magic Millions National Weanling Sale for $65,000.

She is a half-sister to Group III placed Bangs and is the second winner from minor winning Exceed and Excel mare High Achiever, a half-sister to the dam of Mockery, who won the Listed race for two year-olds on the same program at Flemington ..

High Achiever was anything but that as a racehorse, scoring one win from five starts, although her pedigree suggests there is more to come as she is a grand-daughter of Announce, who is also the grand-dam of high flying siblings Shooting to Win and Deep Field.

She's So High is the 23rd stakes-winner this season for I Am Invincible, who is going to press hard for the record of most successful sire by stakes-winners in a season set by Snitzel last year with 26 stakes-winners.
