Edinburgh Park Bred and Sold SW

Tara Madgwick - Sunday March 3
Choisir is getting closer to that century of stakes-winners with the Edinburgh Park bred and sold two year-old filly Lady Naturaliste adding to his tally with a strong win in the Listed SAJC Cinderella Stakes at Morphettville on Saturday.

Lady Naturaliste as a yearlingThe Matt Cumani trained filly was fourth and second at her first two starts in metropolitan Melbourne races before finishing sixth in the $2million Inglis Millennium to Castelvecchio.

That good performance saw her sent off favourite for this 1050 metre sprint and she rewarded punters with a half length victory.

A $150,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the draft of Edinburgh Park for P Diamond / Boomer Bloodstock (FBAA) / Cumani Racing, Lady Naturaliste was bred by Ian Smith and is the first winner for stakes-winning Tale of the Cat (USA) Calcatta.

Edinburgh Park sold the current yearling from Calcatta, a colt by Pride of Dubai, for $170,000 at the Magic Millions earlier this year to Ciaron Maher Bloodstock and is now in foal to Zoustar after missing the previous year.

Lady Naturaliste is the 94th takes-winner for ever popular sire Choisir, who has 10 yearlings to be offered at Inglis Premier starting today.
