There were several very impressive two year-old winners around Australia on Saturday but this one scored by the biggest margin.

Sizzlefly as a yearlingTrained by Phillp Stokes, Sizzling filly Sizzlefly was a red hot favourite for the open juvenile event over 1050 metres and gave nothing else a look in.

She settled just behind the leaders for Todd Pannell and powered past her overmatched rivals down the running to win by eight and a quarter lengths.

Sizzlefly was a $110,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Aquis Farm draft for her trainer and was also bred by Aquis Farm.

She is the third winner from stakes-winning More Than Ready (USA) mare Come Fly With Me, a half-sister to stakes-placed Maritess, the dam of Group II winner Flying Jess.

Come Fly With Me was sold by Aquis last year for just $38,000 at the Inglis Broodmare Sale in foal to Choisir and has since produced a colt for her new owners Eureka Stud and was covered last spring by Widden Stud's young Exceed and Excel sire Outreach.

Sizzlefly looks a bright prospect for Newgate Farm's Sizzling, who has had 16 winners this season of nearly $1million in prizemoney.
