Group I Winner Jon Snow Retired

Former ATC Derby winner Jon Snow has been retired after finishing a gallant third in the Group I Zabeel Classic (2000m) on Boxing Day.

Jon SnowPrepared by Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman throughout his career, the Iffraaj five-year-old entire won four of his 23 starts with 8 minor placings for $2.1m in career earnings.

Owned by the Zame partnership, his biggest success came in the Gr.1 ATC Derby (2400m) as a three-year-old after winning the Gr.2 Tulloch Stakes (2000m) at his previous start. He was also successful in the Gr.3 JRA Cup (2040m) at Moonee Valley as well as finishing in the placings on four occasions at Group One level.

Co-trainer Andrew Forsman made the announcement on twitter where he said "Derby winner Jon Snow has been retired after his game third in the Gr.1 Zabeel Classic on Boxing day.
