Prepared by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, Unite and Conquer (images Steve Hart) was set aside after winning the Listed VRC Maribyrnong Trial at Flemington on October 6 and tuned up for his return with a dominant barrier trial win at Randwick last month.
Ridden by Adam Hyeronimus, Unite and Conquer was explosive from the gates and
quickly found the front, leading all the way to win the 1100 metre dash by a
length and a quarter over the Godolphin runner Exhilarates.Adrian Bott was on hand to greet Unite and Conquer on his return to scale comparing him to some of the best colts to have come out of the stable.
"He's showing us all the right attributes that we saw in horses like Vancouver and Pierro, so he's a quality colt," Bott said.

Unite and Conquer is the first foal of Maglissa, a winning half-sister by Magnus to the dams of stakes-winners Sweet Redemption and Euryale. He has an intriguing triple cross of Danehill 3 x 4 x 4, as well as a double cross of Snippets.
Maglissa is a daughter of Group I AJC Flight Stakes winner Danglissa, who was
trained by Waterhouse so it's a family she knows well given she and Adrian Bott
also train Sweet Redemption, a winner of over $400,000 in prizemoney.Valiant Stud will offer the half-brother by So You Think to Unite and Conquer at the 2019 Magic Millions as Lot 776.
