New Addition for Arqana Breeding Stock Sale

Media Release - Tuesday December 4
A two year-old winner this season and sister to a stakes-winner,  Mercilla is a new addition to the Arqana Breeding stock Sale.

Trained by Henri-François Devin, MERCILLA will go through the ring as lot 174bis on Saturday, December 8 in Deauville, together with the 11 other Wild Cards already in view.

This two-year-old filly created a strong impression on her debut when winning a Class 1 at Lyon over a mile, also an indicator of how much she had impressed her connections. The only unraced filly against six rivals that had already won, Mercilla was held up before passing the field easily under a hands and heels ride.

Running in the colours of Rebecca Hillen, this daughter of Arch is a sister to the Listed two-year-old winner DESERT PHANTOM and hails from a family that is rich in performers at the highest level such as Argentine Group 1 winner KNOCK.

Wootton Bassett Juvenile G2 Double
Wootton Bassett (GB) featured in Ireland overnight at The Curragh with two stakes-winning juveniles, Constitution River taking out the the Group II Futurity (7f), while the Group II Debutante (7f) went to the filly Composing, who comes from the family of Amelia’s Jewel.
