gavelhouse.com Graduates Go Head to Head

Media Release - Thursday November 29

At Otaki's Premier meeting on Friday two debutants bought on gavelhouse  are set to step out in Race 2, the Vets on Riverbank 2YO 1000m.

CinzentoDalghar filly Cinzento (picture courtesy of Adrian Clark Bloodstock's Facebook page) has drawn barrier five and is a recent trial winner at Woodville.

Bloodstock agent Adrian Clark secured the filly for his Challenge Number Ten Syndicate with 50 owners involved in the $5,000 purchase earlier this year. Cinzento is prepared by Hastings-based trainer John Bary who has engaged Rosie Myers for the ride.

The promising youngster goes into the race having won two jump outs and her recent trial.

"She does everything right at home and she has shown ability in her jump outs and her trial," commented Clark.

"She is still green and has a bit to learn but the track is looking good for tomorrow and with five runners in we should come home with a cheque."

Over in barrier four is a daughter of the late Pins nominated by Palmerston North-based trainer Kevin Gray.

Herself trial placed, Samuari Girl has Lisa Allpress on board and was bought off gavelhouse.com in August 2017 for $6,250 before being on-sold at the Karaka 2018 for $20,000.

"She's a small filly and is very good at home," Gray said.

"I actually trained her mother and there is a lot of speed in the family."

"She has trialled but she missed the jump and then made up the ground to run home third."

"Lisa was positive about her and wanted to get back on her this start so if she jumps well tomorrow, her presence will be known."
