Darley have announced fees on their European roster for 2019 headed by champion sire Dubawi who stands at a fee of £250,000.
The Darley stallions have enjoyed another outstanding year, siring the winners of the Dubai World Cup, the Derby, the King's Stand, the Prince Of Wales's, the King George, the Arlington Million, the National Stakes and the Dewhurst, to name but a few.
Joining the roster at Dalham Hall Stud for 2019 is Europe's highest-rated horse and dual winner of the G1 Champion Stakes,Cracksman.
Winner of his sole start at two (where he finished four lengths ahead of Stradivarius),Cracksman was beaten less than a length in both the English and Irish Derbies, before storming to wide-margin victories in the Great Voltiguer, the Prix Niel and the Champion Stakes – winning the last by no fewer than seven lengths.
This year he has added three further victories at the highest level to his outstanding record, landing the Prix Ganay, the Coronation Cup and his second consecutive Champion Stakes, once again by a huge margin. This victory earned him a Timeform rating of 136, 2lbs clear of Arc heroine Enable.
Cracksman is the highest-rated horse to retire to stud in Europe since his own sire, Frankel. In fact, the only other horses retired with a higher rating since 2000 are Sea The Stars and the great Dubai Millennium. Cracksman will stand at a fee of £25,000, October 1st SLF.
One stallion who has carried all before him in 2018 is Dubawi, officially the best stallion in the world by TRC ranking, and the first UK-based sire ever to record 100 individual Group winners. Sire of 38 G1 winners to date,Dubawihas notched six winners at the highest level this year, headed by the unbeaten G1-winning two-year-olds, and the best two juveniles in Europe,Too Darn Hot, winner of the Darley Dewhurst and National Stakes hero Quorto. Dubawi's 2019 fee remains unchanged at £250,000.
There are four further new additions to the European roster, including star sprinterHarry Angel, who will stand at Dalham Hall Stud at a fee of £20,000.
Harry Angel, a record-breaking World Champion sprinter and the best so far by Dark Angel, won the G1 Darley July Cup and the Haydock Sprint Cup, the latter by the widest margin ever recorded, last year and is the highest-rated sprinter to retire to stud in the UK since 1985.
Another record-breaking speedster to join the stallion ranks is Jungle Cat, who will stand at Kildangan Stud at €8,000. The son of Iffraajwas a high-class performer at two, who went on to land this year's G1 Al Quoz Sprint, before flying to victory in the G1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes in Australia.
Hawkbill, also victorious at Meydan on Dubai World Cup night – this time with a dominant win in the G1 Dubai Sheema Classic – will cover his first book at Dalham Hall Stud at a fee of £7,500.
Hawkbill won the G1 Eclipse at three, putting up the same performance by Timeform as Roaring Lion's win over Saxon Warrior this year.
New to the roster at Haras du Logis isCloth Of Stars, the first colt home in the past two Prix de l'Arc de Triomphes and winner of the G1 Prix Ganay. Timeform's Champion older horse of 2017, he will stand at €7,500.
New Approach has enjoyed a banner year, thanks in no small part to outstanding Derby winner Masar. He is also sire of G2-winning trio Ostilio, Loxley and Waldlied, who all hail from the same post-Dawn Approach crop as Masar.New Approach's fee is unchanged at £30,000.
Standing alongside him is Golden Horn, whose first yearlings averaged £160,000 and whose much-anticipated first runners will appear on the racecourse in 2019. He will stand at £50,000.
Exceed And Excel recently reached a milestone 150 Black Type winners, becoming only the second Australian-bred sire ever to do so. He will once again stand at a fee of €50,000, alongsideTeofilo who also remains unchanged at €40,000.
