Aussie Bred Camelot Winner in South Africa

Three year-old Camelot (IRE) filly Welsh Harp opened her account when saluting as favourite at Greyville on Friday.

Welsh Harp as a yearlingTrained by J A Janse van Vuurenshe won by half a length over 1600m at her fourth start.

Welsh Harp was bred by Kate Nivison's Etak Thoroughbreds and sold first as a weanling by Shadwell Farm as agent for $60,000 at the Inglis Great Southern Weanling Sale Platinum Session and then made $100,000 at the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale when offered by Blue Gum Farm and bought by Heritage Bloodstock.

Welsh Harp is the fourth winner from Molly Rocks, a half-sister by rock of Gibraltar (IRE) to Group II winner Silverstream, Group III winner Sweet Natalie and stakes-winner Calanda.
