Star Foal Added to Gallery

Tara Madgwick - Thursday October 25
The foals keep coming into to our 2018 Breednet Foal Gallery with this new addition likely to become a half-brother to a Group I winner next Saturday if all goes to plan in the Group I VRC Victoria Derby.

The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained colt Thinkin' Big was super impressive in winning the Group III MRC Caulfield Classic last week and is now a short priced favourite for the Victoria Derby.

A full brother to Group III winner Stampede, Thinkin' Big was foaled at Coolmore and bred and retained to race by Peter Dunn of Dodmark Thoroughbreds from his former classy staying mare Nothin' Leica Cat, whose dam is by Victoria Derby winner Nothin' Leica Dane.

Nothin' Leica Cat has foaled this spring producing this cracking colt at Coolmore on October 7 by US Triple Crown hero American Pharaoah (USA).

This result has obviously pleased Mr Dunn as Nothin' Leica Cat is booked back for a return visit to American Pharoah, whose progeny dazzled at the North American Yearling Sales this year selling for up to $US2.2 million.
