Fifth Stakes-Winner for No Nay Never

Tara Madgwick - Saturday October 6
Scat Daddy's first son to go to stud, No Nay Never (USA) continues to blaze a trail through the European flat season adding a fifth stakes-winner to his credit in Ireland on Friday when two year-old colt No Needs Never landed the Listed Star Appeal Stakes at Dundalk.

No Nay NeverTrained by Joseph O'Brien and ridden by Seamie Heffernan, No Needs Never forged clear to win the seven furlong contest by a length and three-quarters to post his second win from just five starts.

Bought for 65,000 euros from the Goffs Orby Sale, No Needs Never is the first winner for Opera Fan, a half-sister by Cape Cross to Group winners Volta and Calvados Blues.

He is the fifth stakes-winner for No Nay Never, who had two other winners on the Dundalk program to give him a winning treble on the day.

The leading first crop sire in Europe, No Nay Never is building an impressive record.

He has 25 winners of 33 races which equates to 47.2% winners to runners and his five stakes-winners come at an impressive 9.4% stakes-winners to runners, so if No Nay Never keeps this up we'll be looking at a seriously good sire.

No Nay Never is currently in Australia for Coolmore standing at a fee of $19,250.

The high regard in which he is held in Europe was reflected at the Goffs Sale earlier this week where his offspring sold for up to 700,000 euros.

His first Australian bred yearlings will sell at sales in 2019
