Record Gross for September Online Auction

The Inglis Digital September Online Auction reached new heights overnight, setting a gross record of more than $1,5 million.

ElginThe sale's top lot was talented 4YOElgin (NZ), which sold to Australian Bloodstock for $160,000.

Elgin was one of 12 horses offered unreserved by Nick and Llloyd Williams as part of a Hudson Conway Reduction consignment, within the September catalogue.

All 12 Macedon Lodge gallopers sold, for a combined total of $587,500.

Elgin, a 4YO son of Rip Van Winkle (IRE), ran third on debut at Ballarat in September and Australian Bloodstock's Luke Murrell was excited by the purchase.

"Elgin is the perfect example; he's obviously a lightly raced horse with some good upside.

The second top lot of the September sale was another Macedon Lodge galloperKilimanjaro (IRE), which sold to Ciaron Maher Bloodstock for $140,000.

Other highlight results from the Hudson Conway Reduction include:

Crocodile Rock (IRE)– $60,000

Hans Holbein (GB)– $45,000

Streetcar to Stars (GB)– $32,500

Bondi Beach (IRE)– $25,000

Outside of the Hudson Conway Reduction, 4YO Commands mare Aphrodite Rock headed the race fillies and mares category.

WA-based operation Gervase Park Stud went to $75,000 for the Lindsay Park-consigned mare, who is bound for the breeding barn.

Redoute's Choice geldingSilent Agendawas bought by trainer Noel Mayfield-Smith for $60,000.

The 3YO recently broke his maiden at Kembla Grange and is well-related, being a full brother to South African Group 1 winner Wylie Hall and a half to Hong Kong Group 1 winner Absolute Champion.

Ingham Bloodstock's young Pierro mareL'Etoiletopped the broodmare section at $42,500.

The 4YO is out of Group 3-winning mare Jade Marauder, herself a half sister to Bliss Street.
