TRIPLE CROWN ended the 2017/18 season with a remarkable 10 individual Stakes performers, highlighting the strength and depth of the Triple Crown team.

Furthermore, at the close of the season, an incredible 36% of our active horses in training had been Stakes placed at some stage during their career.

Redzel, Australia's highest earning racehorse during the 2017/18 season, won the Group 3 Concorde Stakes, the Group 2 pair of The Shorts and Challenge Stakes, as well the Group 1 Darley Classic in addition to his Everest success, to become Australia's leading sprinter in what was a stellar season for the top line son of Champion Sire Snitzel.

Dothraki, Moss Trip, Emperor's Way and Secret Trail joined Redzel as winners of Stakes races during the 2017/18 season. Dothraki proving age to be just a number as the now eight-year-old won the Group 3 Maurice McCarten Stakes at Royal Randwick – a race in which Secret Trail flashed home for fourth. Yet the Denman mare would get her just rewards, as she burst clear to win the Listed Bright Shadow Stakes at Doomben in June.

Moss Trip, who like Dothraki is also by Mossman, took the Group 3 James Carr Stakes at Royal Randwick in April for Triple Crown's 27th Group-race win since 2010, before going on to win the Listed Scone Guineas in a blistering performance in May.

Emperor's Way, a winner of five races during the 2017/18 season, finished the preparation with a fantastic win at Stakes level in the Listed Randwick City Stakes over 2000m in May.

Island Missile was denied a Stakes victory by just a nose in the Listed Gosford Guineas, while Brave Song put up an impressive performance to finish third in the Group 3 Eskimo Prince Stakes behind star colt Kementari.

Invincible Lad has a 2YO Stakes placing next to his name after finishing third in the Listed Asian Executive Stakes at Flemington, while in Queensland the Tony Gollan-trained pair of Brazen Moss and Charlie Boy earned Stakes placings last season.
