Spirit Of Boom on the board for new season

Breednet - Sunday September 9
When the new season ticked over there wouldn't have been anybody tipping Spirit Of Boom to be 21 runners without a winner but he's on the board now with an impressive debutant at the Sunshine Coast on Sunday.

Jami Lady as a yearlingIt hadn't been a horrendous start for the Eureka Stud based stallion by any means as he still sat fourth on the money list but after taking all before him in his freshman year it's been a bit of a winner drought for the past six weeks.

Jami Lady ended it though with an impressive win on debut at the Sunshine Coast for trainer Steven O'Dea after being well backed.

Out of Easy Rocking mare Jevico Girl, she had been passed in as a yearling at the Magic Millions Gold Coast March Yearling Sale when offered by Roona Lodge.

Jami Lady is the first foal of Jevico Girl, a four-time Brisbane winner who descends from Australian Oaks winner Hasty Departure.

She has a Statue Of Liberty yearling following up and was served by Holy Roman Emperor last season.

Spirit Of Boom is standing this season at Eureka Stud on a fee of $55,000.

He has three two year-olds entered for the Magic Millions Gold Coast 2YOs Inn Training Sale on October 9 and two entered at the Inglis Ready2Race Sale at Riverside Stables on October 15.
