Debut Doomben Winner for Dawn Approach

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday July 25
Darley shuttler Dawn Approach (IRE) is headed back to the Hunter Valley this spring and added a promising new winner to his tally with an easy debut victory at Doomben on Wednesday for Inflammable.

Dawn ApproachTrained by Gillian Heinrich and Ben Rodgers, Inflammable was sent out favourite for the 1110 metre maiden despite being the only two year-old in the field.

Despite giving away strength and experience to all of his rivals, Inflammable forged clear to win by the best part of a length with Luke Dittman in the saddle.

A $170,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Oaklands Stud draft for TCH Bloodstock, Inflammable is the third winner from Flammable, a half-sister by Ferocity to stakes-placed Matador.

Inflammable is the fourth Australian winner for New Approach's champion son Dawn Approach, who stands at a fee of $19,250.

His four winners are all metropolitan winners with Group II placed Goings the best of them.
