I Am Invincible Filly Scintillation Scores On Debut – Half-Sister Inglis Easter

Dane Squance - Wednesday February 11

Scratched from last Saturday’s Listed ATC Lonhro Plate, John O’Shea and Tom Charlton’s 2yo I Am Invincible filly Scintillation headed to Gosford on Wednesday instead, impressing on debut against the older horses to win for Rosemont Stud.

With two barrier trials under her belt, the Zac Lloyd ridden filly jumped away well from the middle of the line, going forward to take up the running with the Nathan Doyle trained Perfect Force sitting in second.

As the runs started to come from back in the field before the home turn, Lloyd started to shake up Scintillation and the 2yo filly responded, pulling away ears pricked to win by just under a length.

Perfect Force held on for second, just in front of the Bjorn Baker trained Tigletta who worked home quite well to finish in third.

Retained to race by her breeders Rosemont Stud after passing in shy of her $600,000 reserve at the 2025 Inglis Easter yearling sale when offered by Vinery Stud, Scintillation is the first foal of the three-time G3-winning Exceed And Excel mare Minhaaj who was purchased by Rosemont Stud from the Shadwell Dispersal at the 2021 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale for $1.8m.

Scintillation Could've Been Purchased For $600,000 At Last Year's Inglis Easter Yearling Sale

Rosemont Stud continued to race the mare once purchased, and after transferring her to the John O’Shea stable she went on to win the G3 ATC Nivison Stakes and the G3 VRC Furphy Sprint at her first two starts for the new yard before retiring to stud after a further three starts.

The current yearling from Minhaaj, a filly by Zoustar, will be offered as agent in the Widden Stud draft, selling as Lot 430.

Minhaaj foaled a colt in October by Coolmore’s Wootton Bassett (GB) before being covered by Darley’s Harry Angel (IRE) in the spring.

Scintillation wasn’t the only well-bred winner by Yarraman Park Stud’s I Am Invincible on Wednesday, with $1.3m Inglis Easter yearling graduate Sister Cynane breaking her maiden at Te Aroha in New Zealand.

Out of the G1-winning Beneteau mare Prompt Response, the 4yo mare has recorded six top three efforts from her eight starts to date.

I Am Invincible will be represented by eight yearlings at the upcoming Inglis Premier yearling sale including the first foal of G1 winner Mariamia (Lot 187) and the second foal of G1 winner Hasahalo (Lot 90), before a massive selection of 41 yearlings will be offered at Inglis Easter.
