Two State Double for Hello Youmzain

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday January 21

With the Karaka Book 1 Yearling Sale set to kick off this Sunday, the Cambridge Stud bred and sold filly Fast ‘n’ Inzaine rang up a double for her sire Hello Youmzain (Fr) when breaking the ice at Sandown on Wednesday and she has a half-sister to be offered next Monday.

Earlier in the day, three year-old Hello Youmzain gelding Prince Charge saluted at his second start Randwick for Chris Waller, read about him here.

Trained by Ciaron Maher and ridden by Robert Whearty, Fast ‘n’ Inzaine was first up from a spell in the 1000m dash having finished third and fourth at her only two previous starts last August.

She flew to the line from back in the field to win by half a length running away.

“Her two previous starts were on the synthetic track so it was hard to get a line on her coming back to the turf, but she had definitely come back in a better horse this time,” said stable representative Leigh Allen.

“She stepped away a little slow, but that was probably the best thing as she was able to gradually build into it and at the end it was a very nice win.”

An $80,000 Inglis Premier purchase from Cambridge Stud for Ciaron Maher Bloodstock, Fast ‘n’ Inzaine runs for a big group of stable clients.

She is the first foal from Deepdene, a blueblood Tavistock mare from the Diamond Lover branch of the legendary Eight Carat (GB) family that has produced Group I winners Don Eduardo, Tristalove, Viking Ruler, De Beers and more recently last year’s G1 VRC Australian Guineas winner Feroce.

Half-sister by Bivouac to Fast 'n' Inzaine.

Cambridge Stud will offer the second foal of Deepdene, a filly by Bivouac, as Lot 378 at Karaka Book 1 on Monday.

Cambridge Stud are selling their entire yearling draft of 2026 at Karaka and included are nine by Hello Youmzain, a Group I winning sprinter by Kodiac, whose oldest progeny are just three year-olds.
