Sportsbet Caulfield Blue Diamond week will bring together racing, cultural celebrations and key media opportunities at Caulfield Racecourse.

Across the week, media are invited to attend a range of activities including final gallops, the Blue Diamond barrier draw and Chinese New Year festivities, ahead of Group 1 racing on Saturday 21 February featuring the Sportsbet Blue Diamond Stakes, Oakleigh Plate and Futurity Stakes. 

SPORTSBET CAULFIELD BLUE DIAMOND GALLOPS

TIME: 6:30AM-8:00AM 

LOCATION: Caulfield Course Proper  

DETAIL: Media are invited to watch Saturday's contenders complete their final trackwork ahead of the Sportsbet Blue Diamond Stakes, Sportsbet Oakleigh Plate and Futurity Stakes. Trainers will provide insights leading up to race day.  

CHINESE NEW YEAR MEDIA CALL  

DATE: Tuesday 17 February  

TIME: 9:00AM-9:30AM 

LOCATION: Caulfield Front Lawn  

DETAIL: Media are invited to celebrate Chinese New Year and welcome the Year of the Horse in a vibrant cultural showcase featuring the traditional dotting of the lion’s eyes ceremony, a lively lion dance procession, appearances from Living Legends champion racehorse Apache Cat and key dignitaries including:

  • Chinese Consul-General, Mr Fang Xinwen
