Daysee Doom wins the Coolmore
"That's all I wanted her to do," Quinton told Racenet's Clinton Payne.
"She had a nice morning out.
"I told Andrew (Adkins) I didn't want her to have too tougher workout on the heavy track, it was a bog.
"She went nice, I was very happy with the trial. It's all she needed to do because she only had two weeks off."
Quinton said Daysee Doom (image Steve Hart) would remain in Sydney, continuing her build up before heading to Queensland next week for the $500,000 Tatt's Tiara (1350m).
"It's going to be a strong race this year but she's as worthy as any being there, she's a Group I winner," Quinton said.
"She's shown she's an A-grader so she's well treated under the weight-for-age conditions.
"There's are not too many Group Is during the year in the distance range that suits her, so you have a go at them when they come up and she's a good fresh mare."
Three year-old fillies Champagne Cuddles (Not a Single Doubt) and Moss Trip (Mossman) are favourites for the race which was elevated to Group I status in 2007.
