Zousain 3YO Goes Two for Two in Hong Kong

Tara Madgwick - Sunday December 28

Hong Kong trainer Frankie Lor reached a career milestone of 500 HK wins when his promising three year-old Zousain gelding Salon S made it two wins in as many starts when scoring at Sha Tin on Saturday.

He won on debut over 1200m in November and was dominant this time stepping up to 1400m with Matthew Poon to ride.

Salon S led for home and opened up to win by nearly two lengths carrying 61kg.

Salon S went through an Inglis Digital Sale in august 2023 fetching $17,000 and was then re-offered at Magic Millions Book 2 in the Murrulla Stud draft where he made $90,000 when bought by Lor Bloodstock.

Salon S is a half-brother to stakes-placed Viva Graciousness and is one of six winners from six to race from stakes-winning Ferocity mare Divine City.

Salon S is the second winner in Hong Kong for Zousain from just five starters in that region.
