Shares in Group Winners Popular on Magic Millions Digital

Media Release - Wednesday December 10

Shares in Group One performers Overpass and Within the Law were among the most sought after lots at the latest Magic Millions Digital Sale which concluded on Wednesday.

The chance to join in the ownership of the top liners from the Bjorn Baker stable under the Darby Racing banner was too much for a number of interested parties.

A share in Overpass changed hands ahead of the $1.5million Gold Rush this Saturday.

Highway Farm followed up their recent share purchase in the Group Two winning filly Within the Law by securing another five per cent today for $70,000.

Her gun sprinting stablemate Overpass is heading to Saturday's $1.5 million The Gold Rush at Ascot and today a five per cent share was traded to Blue Arrow Equine for $40,000.

"Our owners who were selling these shares are ecstatic with the results," Darby Racing's Scott Darby noted.

"Both were happy to trade out but only if the price was right and Magic Millions delivered on that," he added.

Another good seller was the stakes performed and multiple city winning mare Ghobella, who is currently in foal to prominent Western Australian sire Maschino. Boomer Bloodstock went to $70,000 to secure her.

Ghobella's vendor was pleased with the sale results achieved on Magic Millions Digital.

"I would like to thank Magic Millions for the great result they achieved with my mare Ghobella," Livio Divitini said.

"The team were very easy to deal with and I'd highly recommend them to any future sellers," Divitini added.

Having now completed three online auctions, Magic Millions Digital has quickly established itself as a popular marketplace for vendors and buyers alike. This is set to continue to build over the coming months.

"This sale shows that when given the opportunity to offer the right product, we can deliver phenomenal results for our clients," Magic Millions Head of Digital Bryce Bevan said.

"The prices for the shares in Within the Law, Overpass, Decorum, Blitzburg as well as Ghobella reflect that."

"Our attention now turns to working on private deals for those lots that passed in, with the aim to bring together as many as possible in the coming days," Bevan added.
