The histories of Cambridge Stud and New Zealand Bloodstock are intrinsically linked and with 100 years of trade being celebrated at Karaka in 2026 it’s an occasion to be marked with something special.

Cambridge Stud will present their entire draft of yearlings at Karaka in January with a special catalogue to showcase this exceptional collection of young thoroughbred athletes now online.

Under founders Sir Patrick and Lady Justine Hogan, Cambridge Stud was leading vendor for 31 consecutive years and under the current ownership of Sir Brendan and Lady Jo Lindsay a 32nd title followed in 2021.

Sir Brendan and Lady Jo Lindsay took over Cambridge Stud in 2018.

Cambridge Stud of the past produced champions such as Octagonal and the same lush grass and fertile paddocks continue to deliver with current superstar miler Ceolwulf leading the new wave of success.

A 73 strong draft will delight buyers, highlighting the farm’s carefully cultivated female families and showcasing progeny of Cambridge Stud based sires Almanzor (Fr), Hello Youmzain (Fr), Embellish and Sword of State, whose first Australian runner is spring stakes-winner Torture.

Hot Lots Day Three – Magic Millions
With Extreme Choice having seven sold through the ring so far averaging $840,000 highlighted by a sales equalling top price of $2m for Kingstar Farm’s colt, the Newgate Farm based stallion only has three to sell on Thursday, which could see Snitzel or I Am Invincible hit the lead on averages.
