Annabel and Rob Archibald send out runners all up and down the Eastern States and a Written Tycoon filly that bolted in at Kyneton on Tuesday delivered a timely update for her half-sister headed to Magic Millions in January.

Elonia was unplaced on debut at Bendigo on a heavy track back in June, but the three year-old was a different horse when returning from a lengthy spell.
Well fancied for the 1115m maiden, she gave Fred Kersley an easy steer, dashing well clear of her rivals after turning for home to win as she pleased.
“She was dominant today and I thought from the 500m mark it was going to have to take something good to come out of the pack and get me and I couldn’t hear anything coming behind me which is always good,” said Fred Kersley.
“She’s got a bright future ahead of her.”

Elonia was purchased by her trainers for $260,000 from the Yulong draft at Magic Millions.
Bred by Yulong she is the first foal from Close to Me, a winning I Am Invincible daughter of stakes-winner Rose of Choice.
Yulong sold a Tagaloa filly from Close to Me at Magic Millions this year for $80,000 to Race With Lizzie/Kennewell Racing/Group 1 Bloodstock and her current yearling, a filly by Alabama Express will be offered at the 2026 Magic Millions as Lot 177.
