Victorians Supporting National Thoroughbred Week

Media Release - Monday November 17

From November 20–24, dozens of farms and stables around Australia are opening their gates to the public for National Thoroughbred Week. It’s a chance for everyday Aussies see what happens beyond race day and on the farms - and to discover the deep care, commitment, and culture that surrounds the thoroughbred.

But here’s the thing: the people who need to hear that story the most won’t find it on their own. So we’re asking breeders, trainers, and industry workers to do one thing: Ask five mates.

Friends. Family. Colleagues. Neighbours. The ones who were curious enough to ask them a question during last week’s Melbourne Cup. Bring them to a National Thoroughbred Week event. Show them behind the scenes, up close and invite them in.
