The Bjorn Baker stable were in the winner’s circle at Flemington on Derby Day with Caballus and were back again on Cup Day with talented Exceedance mare Dance to the Boom, who landed the Group III VRC HKJC Stakes (1400m).

Ridden by Kerrin McEvoy, Dance to Boom headed to Melbourne off two smart Benchmark wins at Randwick and Warwick Farm over 1400m and was fit and ready to fire.
A stakes-winner last year of the Listed Gosford Guineas, she handled the rise in class at Flemington to produce a career best performance.
Dance to the Boom powered to the line to win by a long neck taking her overall record to six wins from nine starts with prizemoney topping $400,000
“She's a mare that's in really good form and I was lucky enough to team up with her after J-Mac won on her and then I won a little race for her midweek there at Warwick Farm and she's just very genuine,” said Kerrin McEvoy.
“We were able to offset that wide gate and went forward, I knew Jamie (Melham) would take me across.
“I was able just to slide in behind her, it was three wide with cover, and I knew then, once I got her relaxed that she'd finish off and that's exactly what she showed me.”

Dance to the Boom was a $250,000 Magic Millions purchase from Rosemont Stud for Jo Lindsay and runs in the Cambridge Stud colours.
Bred and sold by Rosemont Stud, Dance to the Boom is the first foal of unraced I Am Invincible mare Bim Bam Boom, an unraced half-sister to Group I winner Albany Reunion and stakes-winner Fast Dragon.
Bim Bam Boom has foaled this spring producing a colt by Exceedance that is a full brother to Dance to the Boom.
Dance to the Boom is a star for Exceedance who stands at Vinery Stud at a fee of $33,000.
