She stepped up in distance to 1500m and was doing her best work on the line to win by a head for Keagan Latham.

A $150,000 Karaka Book 1 purchase from Trelawney Stud for Richard and Will Freedman / Pinhook Bloodstock International, Luna Bay is a filly with a pedigree as a half-sister to Group II winner Pareanui Bay.

She is the third winner from Group III winning Flying Spur mare Okahu Bay, who comes from the family of Group I winner Calveen and Group winners Kosi Bay, Fireworks, First Impressions and Thalassophile.

Trelawney Stud will offer her full sister at the NZB Ready to Run Sale as Lot 14.

She is one of eight entries in the sale for Hello Youmzain, who has now sired seven stakes-winners from his first two crops.

Hello Youmzain (Fr) has eight entries for the NZB Ready to Run.
