Set to run in the $20million The Everest, Group I winning sprinter War Machine was overlooked at the 2022 NZB Ready to Run Sale when passed in shy of his $100,000 reserve, but there will be no overlooking his yearling half-sister by In the Congo when she arrives at Karaka in 2026.

His sire Harry Angel will have not one but two runners in The Everest with Angel Capital also set to contest the world’s richest sprint on turf.

Harry Angel has six entries for this year’s sale and five of them are colts and geldings.

Eurocanto has a pedigree that is all Kiwi - image Grant Courtney

Per Incanto (USA) added a new stakes-winner to his tally at Flemington on Saturday when 2YO colt Eurocanto made a winning debut in the Listed VRC Maribyrnong Trial.

Eurocanto has a Kiwi pedigree through and through coming from a prolific Black Type family nurtured by Waikato Stud.

There is one entry in the sale from this wonderful family.

Lot 268 from Landsdowne Park is a gelding by Super Seth from Savabeel mare Checkout.

Eurocanto has Group III winner Splashing Out as his third dam and so does this colt.

Per Incanto (USA) is a sire that works well for Australia.

Per Incanto has 13 entries for the sale and they will be well considered given his success in Australia through sprinter milers stars such as Roch ‘n Horse, Gringotts, Lost and Running and Everest contender Jimmysstar.

One of Per Incanto’s better nicks is with champion sire O’Reilly with that cross producing 44 winners, four of which are SW’s headed by Group I winner Belclare.

The nick appears once in the sale as Lot 163 from Lilywhites Lode, a filly from Tinnelly, an unraced half-sister by O’Reilly to NZB Filly of the Year Fix, Group III winner Sudbina and the dam of SW Political Debate.

Reinforcing its reign as the best sale of its kind globally, Ready to Run graduates have claimed 34 Group One wins and 105 stakes wins in the last five seasons.

The 2025 edition of the Sale will take place at the Karaka Sales Centre on Wednesday 12 & Thursday 13 November with Breeze Ups to be held at Te Rapa Racecourse on Monday 13 & Tuesday 14 October.
