We had three heats for 2YO’s run at Warwick Farm on Friday morning over 815m with winners by Farnan, Ole Kirk and Kia Ora Stud’s first season sire Captivant, while Stay Inside had an impressive trial winner at Murray Bridge.
Trained by Annabel and Rob Archibald, Captivant colt Courthezon came from off the pace for Zac Lloyd and found the line well to win by nearly two lengths and was the quickest of the three winners.
Blake Ryan and Jay Ford combined to win this heat with flashy Ole kirk colt Green Kirk, who was very professional taking the lead on the fence and staying there for an easy win.
The Ciaron Maher trained Farnan filly Wings of Glory had the last run at them surging home to win by a long neck and good run from Viva Invincible, who was slowly away, but mustered well after that and has natural talent.
There were also a couple of 2YO trials at Murray Bridge with Golden Slipper winning first season sire Stay Inside producing an impressive winner for the Michael Hickmott stable with Inhabit winning by six lengths.
Stay Inside will have his first runners this Saturday and has the favourite Eviction Notice in the Group III ATC Breeders Plate.
