National Sale Packed Full of Outstanding Quality

The Magic Millions National Sale has firmly established itself as the Southern Hemisphere's number one breeding stock sale and the 2018 auction, to commence on May 24, has again brought together an outstanding catalogue.

The National Weanling Sale, which kicks off the two week selling extravaganza, has a catalogue in excess of 550 lots.

National Weanling Sale graduates include Group One winners Pierro, Zoustar, Seasons Bloom, Redzel, Peggy Jean, Volpe Veloce and Driefontein.

Much interest will surround the stock by 22 first season sires. In all a record 107 individual sires are represented at the sale.

Pedigree highlights on paper include half, three quarter or full relations to Group One winners Criterion, Gust of Wind, Japonisme, Preferment, Rock Classic, Rubiscent, Sizzling, Unforgotten and Warhorse.

Group One and Two winning mares Costa Viva, Demerger, Diademe, Amberino, Atlantis Dream, Belmont Cat, Bridie Belle, Faith Hill, Fire Song, Pimms Time and Te Akau Rose all have their latest progeny set to go under the hammer.

Triple G1 winner Jameka will be a showstopper at the Gold CoastThe National Broodmare Sale catalogue, subject to supplementary entries, comprises about 1000 quality lots. There's seven Group One winners, 47 group winners and 103 stakes winners in a star studded line up.

Mares of the calibre of Group One winners Abbey Marie, Costa Viva, Diademe, Dorabella, Miss Cover Girl, Montoya's Secret and Silent Sedition are among the highlights. Group winning maiden fillies or mares French Emotion, Omei Sword, Ruud Not Too, Consommateur, Danish Twist, Endure, Imposing Lass, Madotti, No More Tears, Ocean Embers, Selenia, Time Awaits, Twis and Waking Moment will attract plenty of attention when they are offered straight off the track.

As has been documented the triple Group One winner Jameka will highlight a cracking supplementary catalogue for the National Broodmare Sale (out soon) with dozens more stakes performers among them.

The fillies and mares section of the National Sale has countless outstanding prospects with others including group winners Arabian Gold (served by Snitzel), Capella (Snitzel), Heatherly (Written Tycoon), Mella Maria (Golden Horn), Miss Pelear (Flying Artie), Sabatini (American Pharoah), Avenue (Exceed and Excel), I'm Your Venus (More Than Ready), Precious Lorraine (I Am Invincible), Valkyrie Diva (Snitzel), Vivi Veloce (American Pharoah) and Wonderlandbynight (Pride of Dubai).

Among the well related mares catalogued including half, three quarter or full relations to current Group One stars Abbey Marie, Black Heart Bart, Bonneval, Embellish, Miss Wilson, Trapeze Artist and dozens more.

The dam of G1 winner Foxplay is in foal to Fastnet RockBuyers looking for proven producers will be impressed to learn the dams of Group One winners Foxplay, Gust of Wind, Hall of Fame, Preferment, Rock Classic, Santa Ana Lane, Silent Sedition, Sonntag, Unforgotten and Yankee Rose are all catalogued.

The National Yearling Sale has quickly earned a reputation as one of the top sales for Australian and international stars and the 2018 edition looks set to deliver again.

Past graduates of the National Yearling Sale have been crowned the champion racehorses of New Zealand and Singapore and have won races including the Dubai Golden Shaheen, Oakleigh Plate, Rosehill Guineas, AJC Oaks, KrisFlyer International Sprint, Golden Slipper, VRC Derby, Queensland Oaks and Kelt Capital Stakes.

This year's catalogue includes (at least half) relations to Group One winners Albany Reunion, Delago Deluxe, Gathering and Plucky Belle as well as Group Two winners All Legal, Bennetta, Mimi Lebrock, Satin Shoes, Thronum, Valentia and Zarzeula.

Group winning mares Demerger, Nova Star, Star Satire, Candy Critic, Night War, Trezevant, Winning Belle, Aunty Betty, Bush Honey, Fillydelphia, Hi Belle, I'm Your Venus, Isibaeva, Permaiscuous, Red Typhoon and She Rules all have yearlings catalogued for the National Yearling Sale.

The majority of yearlings offered are eligible to be paid up for the $11 million plus Magic Millions Race Series – giving connections the chance to race on the $10 million Gold Coast Raceday and other races around the country.

The National Racehorse Sale will be held following the yearlings and the catalogue for this auction will be available at the sale grounds and also online.
