Tara Madgwick - Tuesday September 9

The 2025 Keeneland September Yearling Sale is underway and as expected yearlings from the first crop of US Horse of the Year Flightline are lighting up the sale ring, while a colt by Widden Stud shuttler Cogburn’s sire Not This Time sold for $1.6million.

$1.7million Flightline colt from MIra Alta.

Setting the pace at $1.7million is the Flightline colt from top producing unraced Curlin mare Mira Alta that was offered by Warrendale Sales and purchased by Japanese buyer Naohiro Sakaguchi.

The colt is a half-brother to Group III winner Promise Keeper, stakes-winner Wicked Awesome and Group placed War Stopper with the family also featuring Group I winner Great Hunter.

Not This Time is enjoying a hot run on the racetrack this year siring 17 individual stakes-winners in 2025 headed by 3YO colt Troubleshooting, who won the Group I Kentucky Downs Franklin-Simpson Stakes last weekend.
