G3 Tibbie Next for Tuileries

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday September 3

Lightly raced So You Think mare Tuileries has long promised to measure up to stakes class and will be given that opportunity next start after returning to top form to win at Warwick Farm on Wednesday.

Unplaced at her second un back from a spell on a very heavy track at Rosehill in Saturday grade, Tuileries was dropped back in class by Peter Snowden to a Benchmark 72 event to get her confidence back and achieved the desired result.

Given a trouble free steer by Tommy Berry stalking the leaders, Tuileries let loose with a good turn of foot down the straight to take the 1400m contest by the best part of a length under 60kg.

A $360,000 Magic Millions purchase for Snowden Racing/William Johnson Bloodstock  from the Bhima Thoroughbreds draft, Tuileries runs for a syndicate that includes her breeder Jonathan Munz’s Pinecliff Racing.

Tuileries was a $360,000 Magic Millions purchase.

With three wins from seven starts and prizemoney topping $170,000, Tuileries can now chart a path to Black Type success.

“It was good to see her do that, and it's just proved that she's really a good dry tracker and we will definitely avoid wet tracks from now on,” Snowden said.

“She's always had a talent and always showed us that she's capable of doing this and probably a bit more hopefully, so she's back on track again now.

“She had the perfect ride and the perfect run, and she's done a perfect job.

“Hopefully, I might go to Newcastle with her next for the Tibbie (G3 September 19). It’s 1400m and Group 3, so hopefully we can get in as I think it would be a perfect track and race for her and she could run well.”

Tuileries is the best of two winners from Hediard, a winning half-sister by Bernardini (USA) to stakes-winners Exocet and Ready for Victory from the family of Group I winning juvenile Meurice.

Hediard has an unnamed 2YO filly by So You Think, a yearling filly by Justify (USA) and is due to foal to King’s Legacy.
