So You Think Filly On Track for Magic Millions 3YO Guineas

Tara Madgwick - Thursday December 26

She’s currently second favourite for the $3million Magic Millions 3YO Guineas at the Gold Coast on January 11 and lightly raced So You Think filly Tuileries took an important step towards that goal when scoring a scintillating win at Randwick on Boxing Day.

Trained by Peter Snowden and ridden by Tom Sherry, Tuileries found herself in a tricky spot on the fence after turning for home in the Benchmark 72 event over 1300m, but when she bullocked her way into clear running the race was over in a twinkling.

She produced a lethal turn of foot to put paid to her rivals and cruised home to win by more than two lengths and has now won two of three starts earning $102,800 which may hopefully secure her place in the MM 3YO Guineas.

“That’s what we needed to see and she really put them away when she got in the clear,” said Peter Snowden.

Tom Sherry was impressed with Tuileries and believes she is on her way to winning a lot better races.

“All credit to the horse, she’s really special I think,” said Sherry.

“It’s not easy to go from a maiden straight to a Benchmark race and she did it with a blistering turn of speed and attached the line extremely strong.”

A $360,000 Magic Millions purchase for Snowden Racing/William Johnson Bloodstock  from the Bhima Thoroughbreds draft, Tuileries runs for a syndicate that includes her breeder Jonathan Munz’s Pinecliff Racing.

She is the second winner from Hediard, a winning half-sister by Bernardini (USA) to stakes-winners Exocet and Ready for Victory from the family of Group I winning juvenile Meurice.

Hediard has another yearling filly by So You Think and has foaled this spring producing a filly by Justify (USA).
