Widden Stud’s annual series of stallion parades in the ‘Valley of Champions’ kicked off as scheduled on Thursday with the reigning Champion Australian Sire Zoustar the centre of attention, while the world’s fastest horse Cogburn (USA) also made his debut in Australia.
A Group I winning son of one of North America’s hottest stallions in Not This Time, Cogburn brings the Storm Cat sireline back to Australia and this explosive sprinter is priced at $27,500.
A few years back, Widden Stud’s champion sire Sebring was a crowd pleaser at the end of the parade as he accepted carrots from guests keen to have the picture taken with a Golden Slipper winning legend and now Zoustar has taken up the mantle.
We are three weeks into a new season and Zoustar is again setting the pace at the top of the general sires list, what more can unfold this season for a stallion at the very height of his powers!
