Stallion Shares in Cool Aza Beel Offer Rare Opportunity via Magic Millions Virtual Sale

Media Release - Monday July 28

Breeders will have a timely chance to invest in one of Australia’s most exciting young stallions next week, with two individual stallion shares in Cool Aza Beel to be offered via the Magic Millions Virtual Sale on Tuesday, August 5.

Cool Aza Beel

A Group 1-winning son of Savabeel and New Zealand’s Champion 2YO of his generation, Cool Aza Beel has made a strong start at stud from his humble beginnings. Standing at Newhaven Park, he’s already unearthed a string of standout first-crop performers including Cool Aza Rene, Don’t Tellyafather, Gable, and stakes performer Cobra Club — none more impressive than Cool Archie, dominant winner of the Group 1 J.J. Atkins and Group 2 BRC Sires’ Produce Stakes this winter.

With his progeny already delivering on the track and in the sale ring, Cool Aza Beel is rapidly emerging as a stallion of serious value and momentum. He combines elite juvenile performance, Group 1-winning credentials, and the proven Savabeel–Zabeel sire line that continues to shape the breed across Australasia.

“Cool Aza Beel’s pedigree and the types he threw in his first year all point to his first crop only getting better as three-year-olds,” said Dane Robinson, Magic Millions Bloodstock Manager.

“Cool Archie is the North Star, but the sire’s momentum looks to be timely heading into Spring — and when you consider the modest fee he stands for, especially compared to his peers with similar first season results, it only reinforces that his value is set to rise from here.”

Spring Watch: Cool Aza Beel’s Rising Stars Poised for Black-Type

Cool Aza Beel’s first crop has already made its mark, but the Spring promises to launch his reputation even further, with a string of exciting colts and fillies primed for black-type assignments in both Australia and New Zealand.

  • Cool Archie – G1 winning juvenile colt, currently on the verge of taking out Champion 2YO of 2024/25 season.
  • Kahlua Girl – City-winning juvenile who returns this spring with black-type goals in mind.
  • Cool Aza Rene – Classy early winner bound for stakes targets in New Zealand.
  • Cobra Club – Stakes-performed colt resuming with black-type ambitions.
  • Don’ttellyafather – Progressive winner, being aimed at Queensland and Victorian stakes races.
  • Sequel – City-placed filly back in work with Chris Waller; this will be her key preparation.
  • Cool Moon – Another city-placed juvenile expected to feature in metro grade as a 3YO.
  • Gable – A developing colt with good upside, poised to step out in the early season.

“There’s genuine momentum building here,” added Robinson. “When you’ve got a Group 1 juvenile, and potentially Champion 2yo of the season, with strong sale results, and a wave of 3YOs returning with black-type targets — in a changing landscape of Australian sires Cool Aza Beel looks a young stallion’s commercial stallion that represents great potential upside at his current fee.

Bonus Nomination Adds Immediate Breeding Value

Each share includes a Bonus Nomination for the 2025 breeding season, generously provided by Newhaven Park. Under the Cool Aza Beel Stallion Syndicate Deed, each shareholder is entitled to:

  • One Bonus Nomination in 2025 (not transferrable to future seasons)
  • Full control of the nomination — use it or sell it
  • Resale permitted (with standard terms for live foal and free return), with written notice to Newhaven Park

This added nomination offers immediate utility to shareholders, whether for personal broodmares or resale — further elevating the commercial upside.

“Cool Aza Beel has made a very encouraging start, and as a son of Savabeel with a deep pedigree, we’re confident his best is still to come — especially on the back of such a strong season with his two-year-olds,” said John Kelly, Newhaven Park.

“We’re backing him heavily again this year. He’s virtually full for the season ahead, which reflects how well breeders have responded to the value we’ve placed on him. These shares present one of the very few remaining opportunities to get involved with the stallion this year.”
