A Group winning son of champion sire Snitzel that made $1million as a yearling at Magic Millions, Dracarys is a young Queensland based stallion with many positives and even more importantly he is also now the sire of a stakes-winner!

Dracarys stands at a fee of $9,900, click for more info and a Hypo mating.

Standing at Oakwood Farm in Queensland, Dracarys has been ticking along nicely since retiring to stud in 2019 with good support from breeders paying off on the track with burgeoning results.

His first small crop of foals are now four year-olds with six winners from 11 runners and they are headed by his smart Hong Kong based gelding Storm Rider, who has won three races for champion trainer David Hayes.

His much larger second crop have also been quick to make an impression with 18 winners from 25 starters headed by stakes-placed Kahlisee, who has won over $245,000 for the Chris and Corey Munce stable.

The emergence of his third crop of now two year-olds delivered a milestone for Dracarys with the arrival of his first stakes-winner Dragonne Rouge, a brilliant filly with a strong will to win.

A $25,000 Magic Millions March Yearling Sale purchase for her trainer Shaun Dwyer from the Oakwood Farm draft, Dragonne Rouge won her first three starts through March and April at Sunshine Coast, Doomben and then Eagle Farm, where she won the $200,000 Listed BRC Calaway Gal Stakes (1200m).

Dropped back in trip to 1000m for the $1million Magic Millions National 2YO Classic, she finished her campaign with a close fifth to Isti Star and headed for a well earned break with nearly $270,000 in prizemoney.
