Star filly Savvy Coup (NZ) (Savabeel) fought out until the end in the Group 1 New Zealand Oaks to win by a length and a quarter. Trained by Michael and Matthew Pitman, she has had a strong three-year-old campaign with 13 starts for five wins including the Group 3 Eulogy Stakes.
Mansfield Farm will offer a colt by Ocean Park,Lot 9, who is closely related to Savvy Coup. He is also related to Group 2 Japan-New Zealand International Trophy winnerOcean Emperor(NZ) (Zabeel) and multiple stakes winnerBattle Hero(Stratum) who recently claimed two black-type sprint races back-to-back.
Another star three-year-old inGrunt(NZ) (O'Reilly) has made headlines in Australia with a last start win in the Group 1 Australian Guineas. Purchased and trained my Mick Price, he has won four of his five starts including the Group 3 Hayes Stakes.
