Ole Kirk Share Added to MM National Broodmare Sale

Media Release - Friday May 23

A share in first season sire sensation Ole Kirk will be offered on Day One of the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale on Tuesday.

The share will give breeders a unique opportunity to invest in the former Caulfield Guineas and Golden Rose winner who has made an incredible start to his career as a sire at Vinery Stud.

Ole Kirk

This season Ole Kirk's service fee has been confirmed at $99,000 (inc GST) and he is fully booked such is the demand.

The son of Written Tycoon is currently Australia's Leading First Season Sire and is behind only Snitzel on the Two-Year-Old Sire table.

From 22 progeny to the track, Ole Kirk has been represented by 11 winners - four of them successful at stakes level.

Ill fated Breeders Plate winner King Kirk and the unbeaten Legacy Bound are already Group Three winners, while his daughters are headlined by the $3 million The Star Gold Coast Magic Millions 2YO Classic (RL) winner O'Ole.

Ole Kirk's other exciting youngsters include the Listed Valley Pearl winner Prestige Forever and Michael Freedman's unbeaten Aerodrome who is currently equal favourite for the Group One JJ Atkins Stakes.

"This represents a great opportunity in a young stallion that we have always believed in and who is now demonstrating how important to our industry he could be," Vinery Stud's Bloodstock Manager Adam White said.

"This horse is fully booked for the coming season and I'm sure there are many breeders out there that will identify the chance to utilise a young stallion on the way up," White added.

The offering at the start of Tuesday's selling will be one share in the Ole Kirk Stallion Syndicate of 100. The share entitles you to one service right each stud season plus a share of overs income. A copy of the Syndicate Deed will be available for inspection at the Magic Millions office.
