Another Smart Winner for Kings Legacy

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday May 14

Just days after posting his first stakes-winner when Steel Trap won the Group III SAJC David Coles AM Stakes in Adelaide, King’s Legacy has produced another promising winner.

Trained by Dan Morton and ridden by Lucy Fiore, In Confidence was making her debut in the 1200m maiden at Pinjarra and strode clear to win by nearly a length.

A $50,000 Magic Millions Perth purchase for her trainer from the Amelia Park Racing & Breeding Pty Ltd draft, In Confidence was bred by Peter Walsh of Amelia’s Jewel fame and he has retained a share in her ownership.

In Confidence was a $50,000 Magic Millions Perth yearling purchase.

In Confidence is the first winner from stakes-placed Written Tycoon mare Sophia’s Secret, who comes from a family that has produced a myriad of stakes-winners including Group I winner Sky Cuddle and Group winners Champagne Cuddles, Amor Victorious and Sky Command.

She is the fifth winner for King’s Legacy, who is well priced at Coolmore this spring at $16,500.
