Arrowfield Yearlings for Sale Unreserved on Bloodstockauction

Media Release - Monday May 12

A highlight of this week's Bloodstockauction.com sale is an exciting draft from Arrowfield Stud, a dozen well related yearlings (all unreserved) who would be a stand-out in any stable!

"We are delighted that Arrowfield Stud has continued to support Bloodstockauction," said the company's Director Anthony Gafa.

"They are amongst a number of commercial breeders realising that we offer an outstanding platform, one which has an ever increasing client base, in which to showcase their horses."

"We expose their horses to a large audience with over 23,000 members of our community providing for spirited bidding."

The countdown for each auction kicks off at 6pm (AEST) on Tuesdays though buyers can place bids as soon as the catalogue goes online.

Arrowfield Stud, whose stallions and graduates have been in outstanding form of late (just last weekend Litzdeel, Beadman, Know Thyself and Private Legacy in the headlines), present an outstanding selection of young horses.

Such as Lot 63 by their hot young stallion Castelvecchio whose success has seen his service fee rise from $22,000 to $49,500 (incl GST) this spring.

Lot 63

He has six stakes winners amongst his first 30 winners including the stunning Gr.1 ATC Derby winner Aeliana and the Gr.1 Spring Champion Stakes hero El Castello.

Lot 63 is bred on the same Castelvecchio/Fastnet Rock cross as the latter. He is the first foal for the winning More Than Ready mare Ready To Indulge whose half-sister Amangiri (dam of the promising 3Y0 Girijaala) won twice at Gr.3 level and whose dam is a half-sister to the Gr.1 VRC Derby winner Amalfi.

Lot 60

Maurice has been another star stallion for Arrowfield and he has four yearlings on offer including Lot 60, a flashy daughter of the well related Snitzel mare Oceanway whose first foal Ginger Sinner is a recent winner.

Oceanway is a 3/4 sister to the Gr.3 winner Beneteau out of a stakes placed full sister to the multiple Gr.1 winner Alinghi whose great granddaughter Spicy Martini won a Listed race over 1000m just a few weeks ago.

By the reliable Shalaa, Lot 56 is another colt from an outstanding family, his dam Diamaint being a half-sister to the dual Group winner Queen Of Diamonds.

Lot 56

His third dam is the dual Gr.1 winner Tristalove whose dam Diamond Lover is one of the five Gr.1 winners produced by the acclaimed matriarch Eight Carat. This is a family which just keeps producing with the Gr.1 Australian Guineas winner Feroce (also a great grandson of Tristalove) its later topliner.

Lot 59

The progeny of the European Champion 2Y0 Colt Pinatubo are proving popular with buyers and Lot 59 is a handsome bay son of the proven producer Networking, dam of the Gr.2 placed Invinsible Tears and two very promising young horses - the runaway debut winning juvenile Social Circle and the three-old Sunshine Jenni who impressed claiming her maiden for Lindsay Park last week.
