New Winner for Epaulette

Tara Madgwick - Thursday April 5
Already the sire of two stakes-winners from his first Australian crop, Darley based Epaulette added a new winner to his tally on Thursday at Hawkesbury when Guerrier made a winning debut at Hawkesbury for Jean Dubois.

EpauletteGuerrier was well fancied following two good recent trials and was able to overpower the favourite Federation and win the 1300 metre maiden by a length.

An $85,000 Inglis Classic purchase from the Kitchwin Hills draft for Woodpark Stud, he runs in the same colours as this season's stakes-winning two year-old and Golden Slipper runner Aylmerton.

He is the first winner for stakes-placed Flying Jet and comes from the family of Group I winner Island Morn.

Guerrier is the fourth winner for Epaulette, a dual Group I winning son of Commands that covered 95 mares last spring at a fee of $22,000.
